Adding us to your Will
Whether making your first Will,
or updating an existing Will, it's easy to
leave a legacy to Cancer Research UK.
A gift to us in your Will has the power to touch the lives of millions
Whichever way you choose to make or update your Will it's absolutely vital to include our full name. Please specify that you are leaving your gift to "Cancer Research UK, Registered Charity Nos.1089464 and SC041666". If you simply leave it to "Cancer Research" your gift may not reach us.

Types of legacy
There are a few different types of legacies. Your solicitor will be able to help and advise you on which one would be best for you.
A gift of a percentage of your estate (residuary) will make the biggest difference to beating cancer – because it will keep its value better than a gift of a fixed sum of money (pecuniary). It's also an easy way to provide for the causes that are important to you after loved ones have been looked after.
Why leave a gift?
We are entirely funded by the public, so we rely on donations to carry out our groundbreaking research. See how we are using legacy gifts to help save lives.
